Exciting new developments at MarketPublic!

As a registered member of MarketPublic we wanted to tell you about some important changes at MarketPublic which we think will be of interest and real benefit to you.

When we launched MarketPublic we focused exclusively on the pub and restaurant business in the UK. However over the last few years we have not had enough direct client business to offer the majority of our registered members a significant amount of work.

Following a strategic review of the business we have decided to broaden our market targets to go beyond the pub and restaurant trade. This should enable us to secure a greater number and wider variety of mystery shopping jobs for our members.

Pub and restaurant jobs will continue to be offered and these may involve simply the reimbursement of food and beverage, but we are confident that widening the scope of our business will bring fee based jobs to our members; and in addition to a fee the covering of costs of any required customer purchases.

Whatever the job, you will, as always, have the option to review and accept the terms before any job is allocated to you.

We have been conscious that many of our members have yet to undertake meaningful amounts of work for us and so in addition to widening the scope of our business, Market Public is planning to facilitate jobs from a number of mystery shopping and related market research companies. This in turn will provide yet further potential opportunities for our members.

How would this work?

Quite simply we receive requests from companies (both in the UK and abroad) for details of mystery shoppers able to carry out assignments in the UK. If some of our members meet the required criteria e.g. location, age, sex etc, we would provide their details to those companies who would then make direct contact with the member and offer jobs that they had available.

The member would be under no obligation to accept any work offered, but this process would enable our members to at least have the opportunity to secure more work (and income) with a number of other companies. Please be assured that member details will not be passed to companies without the member’s consent and unless the companies are recognised mystery shopping or related market research companies in their operating country.

We treat all of your personal profile data held by MarketPublic in the strictest of confidence and indeed we are registered with the Data Commissioner under the Data Protection Act (1998). We would never pass any of your details to any other company without your express permission.

What do you have to do to benefit from these new developments?

We need you to do a few things to enable us to include you in these exciting opportunities

Firstly we need you to update your personal profile (you may need to login first). This will enable us to profile jobs more effectively and only offer you jobs that match your profile, skills and preferences. To do this, simply go to your profile page and complete the information requested. You are not obliged to complete all of the requested information but not doing so could limit the number of future jobs that you may be offered. Some of the options are mandatory - we have kept these to a minimum - and you will need to complete these sections if you wish to go ahead.

Secondly, once you have updated your information we need you to confirm that you are happy with MarketPublic’s terms and conditions and that you are happy for your profile details to be used by MarketPublic and passed to other mystery shopping or market research companies.

We are sure that the majority of our members will welcome the changes we are proposing so they can look forward to securing more mystery shopping jobs from both MarketPublic and other reputable companies over the coming months and years.

To those of you have submitted reports on behalf of MarketPublic, a big thank you. We have been receiving excellent feedback from our clients and this would not have been possible without your commitment.

To those of you yet to receive an allocation, another thank you is due – this time for your patience! We hope that the new developments outlined above will enable your patience to be rewarded.
